Last fall we visited Napa and San Francisco for a long weekend and completely fell in love.
Out of any US city I’ve visited, I felt that San Francisco would be my choice should we ever move south of the border for a big city! And if San Fran blew me away with its beauty, Napa totally and completely stole my heart. From the instant we drove into the Napa Valley region, we felt an incredible sense of relaxation. Maybe it’s the hill after hill of those beautiful grapevines rolling past that lulls you into such a peaceful state, but we left the area perfectly stress-free and wanting more.

So, as mentioned, we are heading back at the end of May with our friends who came with us on the Fall Napa excursion (we vacation with them at last once a year and always have a fantastic time). In planning and booking our accommodations I came across so many GORGEOUS places to stay (resorts, hotels, B & B’s, rental homes….) that I just had to share my favorite with you all.
The Napa Carneros Inn exhibits what I think of as true “Napa Style”. Think the Hampton’s of the West coast. Clean, classic, a little rustic yet still refined. If I ever win the lottery one day (cause trust me, one nights stay isn’t cheap!!!) I will be packing my bags in a jiffy to stay at this lovely resort in one of their cottages or homes. Enjoy the pictures!

oh my word i love this place! i’m 100% sure it’s [a few years] beyond my price point, but thanks for posting the gorge pics. enjoy your trip!
(ps. sounds like napa is to you as palm springs is to me – you MUST go. amazing design down there – perhaps trish has told you?)

I’m sure there are some amazing places in Palm Springs too, perhaps next vacation we’ll head there and you can give us a must-visit list!
